The Course
Alternative Structures - The Blizzard Book
Developed by Hedi Kyle and based on the concertina, this book is made from a single piece of paper. The sturdy, wrap around cover, is also a single sheet. Students will use simple techniques to decorate the cover material. There will also be time to make the Crown Book, an offshoot of the Blizzard Book, which is an excellent album format. This is a wonderful structure that is useful as a holder for single pieces of paper/art work and ephemera; it is also enormously satisfying to make.
